Hate Crime - Chinese, Japanese or South East Asian Ethnicity

Number of racially or religiously aggravated hate crime recorded against individuals focussing upon those within the Police listed ethnic category "IC5" between the year starting January 2020 until the year ending December 2020.
Additionally, the same information for the year starting January 2019 until the year ending 2019 and the year starting January 2018 until the year ending 2018.
Furthermore, provide a month-by-month breakdown of these offences within the years stated above.

Having completed enquiries within Essex Police in respect of Section 1(1)(a), Essex Police does hold information relating to your request, Essex Police can confirm in respect of Section 1(1)(b) the following data:
Caveats:
The data is correct as at 09 August 2021.
Only Hate Crimes have been included, Hate Non-Crimes (Incidents) have been omitted.
The Home Office Classification of ‘NC/10’ was used to bring back all relevant Hate Crime Offences and Records.
Three sets of dates:
01 January 2018 to 31 December 2018
01 January 2019 to 31 December 2019
01 January 2020 to 31 December 2020.
A total of 116 Racially or Religiously Aggravated Hate Crimes were recorded against individuals from 01 January 2018 to 31 December 2020, where the Officer Defined Ethnicity of the victim was IC5 (Chinese, Japanese, or other Southeast Asian). The yearly breakdown of these crimes is presented in the below table:
