1. How many Hate Crimes did your Police force record as having been committed against people who identify as Transgender? Starting in April 2020 and finishing at the end of March 2021.
There were 92 Transgender Hate Incidents recorded by Essex Police during the stated period.
2. How many Hate Crimes did your Police force record as having been committed based on Sexual Orientation? Starting in April 2020 and finishing at the end of March 2021.
There were 502 Hate Incidents based on Sexual Orientation recorded by Essex Police during the stated period.

The Force Information Management Board chaired by the Deputy Chief Constable has oversight of the Force wide programme of work to improve the quality of Force data.
