Having completed enquiries within Essex Police in respect of Section 1(1)(a), Essex Police does hold information relating to your request, Essex Police can confirm in respect of Section 1(1)(b) the following data:

The data is correct as at 25 April 2022.
Date Range: 01 April 2019 to 31 March 2022.
Data: The Security Incident Type (Home Office Classification - ID Cards: Lost, Missing or Stolen) under the general categories of Related Incidents being submitted and received using the PFL001 Submission Form are detailed below for the period and of those, the ID Cards: Lost, Missing or Stolen incidents were noted.
ID Cards: Lost, Missing or Stolen are not listed specifically in the below and the data will only give a general view of reports received, these may include Police Staff ID Cards, Police Officer ID or Warrant Cards.
There were a total of 169 ID Card incidents reported to Information Security between the period 01 April 2019 to 31 March 2022, 34 of which were later found and an update reported separately. All security incidents must be reported using the relevant form as soon as possible, therefore, in some instances the items are later found and Information Security is notified.
