2. Could you tell me of the number of missing Black people filed in your Police department from 2016-2021, how many were under the age of 18?

Having completed enquiries within Essex Police in respect of Section 1(1)(a), Essex Police does hold information relating to your request, Essex Police can confirm in respect of Section 1(1)(b) the following data:
Caveats: The data is correct as at 21 July 2021.
Date Period: 01 January 2016 to 30 June 2021.
The number of people reported missing calculated as a count of Person ID and not Report ID. It is the number of individual missing people and not the number of missing reports. Missing reports would be higher as a person can go missing multiple times.
Ethnicity and Gender: As logged on the COMPACT System.

Liaison between the Force Data Quality Team and the Crime and Public Protection Command lead for data quality will identify and resolve issues through a variety of mechanisms to ensure regular and appropriate supervisory oversight.
