BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Number of offences dealt with by Essex Police per month for motorists using a handheld mobile phone/device whilst driving. Table provided showing total number of actions taken by Essex Police for disposals; covering Conditional Offer, Referral to Court Team, NDORS (National Driver Offender Re-training Scheme) training course, and Other.
Please be advised that the phrase “Fixed Penalty Notice” is not a term broadly used by Essex Police. The closest approximation to a Fixed Penalty Notice is a Conditional Offer, which involves points being added onto a driving license and a fine.
Essex Police does not hold information relating to the number of fines paid by motorists. Please contact HM Courts and Tribunals Service for information relating to fines.
Essex Police does not hold the final number of NDORS course completed, this information is held by external agencies. Please note that the NDORS course was discontinued in 2017. Please contact UKROEd (UK Road Offender Education) for further information relating to NDORS courses.
