I have copied in the section of your response that I would like the information for.
“From the Performance Team – re Offences - The number of offences per year can be provided from 2005 , however from April 2017, additional crime types were added to allow the identification of assault with injury offences committed against a constable whilst on duty the periods before this are not directly comparable.
There may also have been a change in process around April 2006 relating to resisting arrest previously being recorded as a crime of assault on a constable but as it was 14 years ago I do not have a definitive explanation as to this change”.
This data would be perfect for the purposes of my research, please can I have this data from 2005-2020. Additionally, from 2017-2020 please can you include assaults on officers that resulted in injury as well as assaults on officers that did not result injury.
