Background Information
Provides the monthly numbers of incidents with a Final Call Type of “RAVE UME” logged on the STORM incident recording system between July 2020 and October 2023.
Prior to July 2020, Essex Police did not specifically record information on Unlicensed Music Events (UME’s) or Raves in an extractable format. There was no specific category/call type for ‘Rave’ within the Strategic Tasking Organisational Resource Management (S.T.O.R.M.) system, which allows incidents to be recorded and resources deployed. UME type incidents recorded prior to July 2020 may have been categorised as different call types such as disturbance, licensing offence, nuisance (8 types), trespassing, etc.
