Appeal for witnesses after knifepoint robbery in Waltham Abbey

Appeal for witnesses after knifepoint robbery in Waltham Abbey
Police are appealing for witnesses after two teenage boys were robbed at knife point in Waltham Abbey.

The two victims, aged 14 and 16, were walking along Sun Street at 10pm on Saturday April 13 when they were approached by a group of up to 16 boys.

The group, who had their faces covered, asked both boys to hand over their phone and one of the suspects was armed with a knife.

Both boys handed over their phones and the suspects then fled. Neither boy was injured during the robbery.

During the robbery it is thought that a dark-coloured car, possibly thought to be a Mercedes or BMW, pulled up and may be linked to the suspects.

Anyone with information about the incident or who saw a large group of boys in the Sun Street area in the moments leading up to or after the attack, can contact Loughton CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
