Brought to Justice is a partnership formed between Essex Police and the Crown Prosecution Service in Essex to tell you about those found guilty and sentenced to terms of imprisonment at crown court.

Adults given custodial sentences of a year or more at a crown court in Essex will have their name, photograph and details of the crime they committed published on both the Essex Police and Crown Prosecution Service websites.

This information is made available for a limited period in order to promote the openness, transparency and accountability of the criminal justice system to the people it serves. This information is made available solely on the basis that it is for the individual use of the person who has accessed this page. The information on this page must not be stored, recorded, republished, or otherwise processed without the explicit agreement of Essex Police.

Joe Paffey, 20, of Old Southend Road, Southend, was convicted of murder and attempted robbery following a trial at Basildon Crown Court. idon Pearce, 20, unemployed, of Treecot Drive, Leigh-on-Sea was found not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter and attempted robbery, which related to the same incident.
