Main article content
Four people were arrested after a disturbance broke out at Adventure Island, in Southend, on Bank Holiday Monday.
The incident took place shortly after 5.45pm on Monday 30 August.
We were called with reports of a woman, aged in her 20s, who had sustained injuries to her head and torso which required hospital treatment.
We arrived within three minutes to deal with the incident and arrested two men, both 18, and a 16-year-old boy, all from London, on suspicion of violent disorder.
A 21-year-old woman from Woodford Green was also later arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
All have been bailed until later this month.
Our investigation into the incident is progressing with the help of high-quality CCTV handed over by Adventure Island.
Detective Sergeant Iain White, who is leading the investigation, said:
“This incident took place in front of a number of people within Adventure Island so we know there will be public witnesses who have not yet come forward to speak to us.
“To those who have already spoken to us, thank you, but to those people who we have not yet spoken to, I would urge you to come forward.
“I particularly want to hear from anyone with video footage or images of the incident.”
