Southend: Appeal after man suffers broken leg in attack

We are investigating after a man suffered a broken leg during an unprovoked attack in Southend.
The victim, a man aged in his 20s, had gone to Tesco, near to the Kursaal, in Southchurch Avenue, at about 11pm on Friday 23 April.
As he left the store a short time later, he was kicked by a man. During the assault, he sustained a broken leg.
He is now recovering at home.
The attacker was wearing a grey hooded top, with his hood up, and is about 6ft tall and of stocky build.
We are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information on the assault to come forward.
