Detectives investigating an assault in Southend yesterday evening which left a man with stab wounds to his neck and stomach have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to.
A man was attacked in Marine Parade shortly before 8.10pm.
He has been taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A Section 60 Authority, where officers can carry out stop and searches without reasonable grounds, and a dispersal order was put in place in response to this a number of other incidents.
We do not believe this incident poses an ongoing risk to the wider public.
If you're in and around Southend seafront you'll also see a highly visible police presence.
