Canvey: Drugs, phones and cash seized – two in court

Two men have been charged and drugs, phones and cash seized after officers executed drugs warrants on Canvey Island.
Officers from the Castle Point and Rochford Community Policing Team and the South Disruptor Team carried out the warrants at several addresses yesterday, Wednesday 4 August.
Three men were arrested. Two have been charged and are due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court today.
Jamie Kingsford, 41, of Leigh Beck Lane, Canvey, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possession of cannabis and using or having possession of criminal property, namely £1,025. He is also charged with possession of cocaine and crack cocaine with intent to supply and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place following a previous arrest last week.
Raymond Reading, 46, of Seaview Road, Canvey, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis and possession of amphetamines and cannabis.
A third man, 41, has been released under investigation on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis and possession of drugs.
