Brought to justice
A man has admitted causing death by careless driving during an incident in Colchester.
Bandile Xozumti was behind the wheel of a car which collided with the Spinnaker pub, in Hythe Quay, shortly before 1am on 3 November 2019.
Sadly, 40-year-old Stuart McClung died as a result of the injuries he sustained in the collision.
Several other people sustained injuries as a result of the incident.
Xozumti, of Waterside Lane, Colchester, admitted causing Mr McClung’s death by careless driving during a hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court yesterday.
The hearing was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared and the 41-year-old will be sentenced at the same court on June 17.
