Alex Brown, 23, of Boscombe Road, Southend, has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and one count of possession of a Class B drug.
He is due to appear in Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Thursday 20 May.
The charge comes after three men were arrested as part of an investigation into the supply of drugs across south Essex.
Officers from the South Disruptor Team executed a warrant in Lincoln Chase, in Southend, on Sunday 16 May.
Two other men were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.
Both men, aged 29 and 30 and from Southend, have been released under investigation.
As part of our investigation, officers have seized £22,500 worth of Class A drugs.
Our new Disruptor Teams focus on identifying, investigating and tackling crimes and anti-social behaviour which impacts communities and protecting vulnerable people.
The teams work closely with local policing teams and intelligence departments to provide an effective option in developing and acting upon community intelligence.
We recruited an extra 151 police officers last year, 2020/21, and this year we plan to recruit another 184 officers, bringing our total to 3,553 by 31 March 2022. We have been able to create our Disruptor Teams because of this recruitment.
