Officers executed three warrants yesterday, Friday 3 September, in a joint operation led by our South Disruptor Team.
Supported by colleagues from Basildon’s Community Policing Team, our Operational Support Group and our dog section, the South Disruptor team halted a cannabis cultivation in Russel Gardens, Wickford, and seized suspected class A and B drugs in Rochester Way, Basildon.

A 37-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with the production of cannabis.
A 34-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of cannabis production, the possession of class A and B drugs and abstracting electricity. He has been released under investigation.
Following the two warrants, a third man, 37, was arrested on suspicion of the production of a controlled drug and theft of a motor vehicle. He has since been released under investigation.
