A man who died following a collision in Blackmore, Ingatestone, has been provisionally identified by Essex Police as Charlie Barrett.
Charlie, 29, from Chelmsford, died when a blue Nissan 4x4 left the road and collided with a tree in Wenlocks Lane.
The collision occurred just before 6pm on Friday 10 September and it is believed no other vehicles were involved.
Paying tribute, Charlie's family said:
"Charlie was the most selfless, kind hearted young man.
"He was full of love and energy with a unforgettable laugh and will be missed by so, so many people."
