Harwich: man charged with assault

A man is due to appear in court today after a man was assaulted in Harwich.
Our officers were called to High Street shortly after 1am on Sunday 19 September.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.
Mitchell Sullivan, 22, of St Edmunds Close, Harwich, has now been charged with causing grievous bodily harm without intent and assault by beating.
He is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court.
Detective Sergeant Dan Smith, from Clacton CID, said:
"This investigation has been fast paced, but we would still like any other witnesses to the incident or anyone who may have mobile phone footage of the offence to get in touch."
