We are investigating the deaths of two people at a property in Braintree.
We were called to Fisher Way at 3.40pm yesterday, Tuesday 9 August, to concerns for the welfare of two people.
We arrived alongside emergency services colleagues and sadly found two people aged in their 70s had died.
We are now investigating the circumstances around their deaths.
At this stage, their deaths are being treated as unexplained however we are not looking for anyone else in connection with their deaths and we believe this to be an isolated incident.
Specialist officers are in place to support the families of the two people.
Officers investigating the deaths of two people found at a property in Braintree are not treating their deaths as suspicious.
We were called to concerns for the welfare of two people at an address in Fisher Way at 3.40pm on Tuesday (9 August).
We arrived alongside emergency service colleagues and, sadly, found two people in their 70s had died.
Since then, we have been carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances around their deaths.
As a result of those enquiries, we do not believe their deaths are suspicious or anyone else was involved.
A file is now being prepared for the coroner.
