Specialist officers from our Operational Support Group (OSG) made multiple arrests over the weekend as they continued their work to keep you safe and tackle those intent on causing you harm.
Between Friday and Sunday supporting other teams from across the county, making seven arrests including in connection with offences of arson, rape, drug driving and assault.
They also carried out proactive patrols in Southend to ensure you were safe while enjoying the good weather, safeguarded someone following concerns for their wellbeing, and seized a vehicle for having no insurance.
And as part of their work to tackle the sale of illegal drugs, they carried out separate warrants in Grays and Canvey Island seizing cash and drugs respectively.
