A teenager has appeared in court charged with a series offences as part of weapons, driving, and drugs offences.
The 17 year-old boy – who cannot be named legally due to his age – was arrested on Monday (19 December).
The arrest was in connection with investigations into incidents where someone had been threatened with a large knife in Brentwood, an incident of dangerous driving in Colchester, and investigations into the sale of Class A and B drugs in Brentwood.
He has since been charged with 11 offences:
• Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs;
• Possession with intent to supply Class B drugs;
• Dangerous driving;
• Aggravated vehicle taking
• Driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence;
• Driving without insurance;
• Failing to stop for police;
• Affray;
• Possession of an offensive weapon in a public place;
• Two counts of possession of a knife or sharp article in a public place.
He appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court on 20 December and is next due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on 3 February.
