Canvey: Assault in Third Avenue

Two boys have been arrested after an incident on Canvey Island which took place last night, Tuesday 20 December.

We were called to Third Avenue at about 9.30pm following reports of two boys being seriously assaulted.

The two teenage victims were taken to hospital. One had sustained serious injuries which, thankfully, are not deemed to be life-threatening.

Officers quickly arrested two boys at a nearby address in connection with the assault.

They remain in custody for questioning.

Officers have remained at the scene today to continue their enquiries.

We need anyone with information on the incident or who has dashcam or doorbell footage of the area between 9pm and 9.30pm last night to get in contact.

We would particularly like to hear from the occupants of a three-door white Vauxhall Corsa which appears to have its rear passenger windows covered.

It had entered Third Avenue from the junction with Link Road.
