Officers from our Operational Support Group (OSG) made another seven arrests yesterday as they continue to keep you safe from those intent on causing harm.
A mixture of arrest attempts and executing warrants saw them make arrests in connection with offences including assault, failing to appear at court, and exposure.
They also helped local policing teams with proactive patrols, including Basildon as part of work to tackle robberies.
Chief Inspector Darren Deex, who leads OSG, said:
“We’ve started this week as we ended last week – by making arrests to keep the public safe.
“We made more than 20 arrests last week while supporting other teams around the county investigate crimes, supporting ongoing incidents, and provide reassurance.
“It’s really important work that really makes a difference.”
