Three in court charged with firearms offences

 

Three men will appear at court today (Saturday 19 March) following yesterday’s series of warrants executed across the county.

Detectives from the Essex Police’s Serious Crime Directorate carried out a series of dawn raids on Friday 18 March across Clacton and Basildon.

Three men have been remanded in custody to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today, charged with the following offences:

David Glover, 34 of Hollands Walk, Basildon has been charged with
• possession of a firearm – two counts
• possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs
• acquire / use / possess criminal property
• possess ammunition for a firearm without a certificate

Jason Fuller, 50 of The Esplanade, Frinton-on-Sea has been charged with
• Possess ammunition for a firearm without a certificate
• Possess a firearm

Andre Vella, 28 of High Road, Wormley, Broxbourne has been charged with conspiracy to possess firearms.

Two other men – aged 45 and 30 – who were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences have now been released under investigation.
