A man has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class B drugs following proactive work by our Roads Policing officers.
On Friday afternoon (2 September) on the M11 in Chigwell when officers searched the vehicle they seized drugs worth an estimated £30,000.
Juan Moreno, 24, of no fixed address, has been charged with possession to supply Class B drugs and is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Monday 5 September.
A second man was arrested in connection with possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and has been released under investigation.
Det Sgt Angie Mitchell from Loughton CID said:
“Thanks to swift action by the traffic unit, along with further investigation by Loughton CID we have prevented a significant amount of cannabis from reaching the streets of Essex.
“The trade in illegal drugs, no matter which class they are in, is inextricably linked to violence, and affects whole communities.”
