Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was found injured on York Road, Southend.
We were called by colleagues at the ambulance services around 10.45pm on Thursday 15 September, with reports that a man in his 20s had been stabbed.
The man was taken to hospital with serious, but thankfully not life threatening, injuries.
Officers are currently on scene as we gather evidence and work to establish what happened.
Southend Community Policing Team Sergeant, David Gardiner said:
“We understand that incidents like this are worrying to the local community. “Our officers are on scene so please do speak to them if you have concerns or information about what happened. “We are treating this as an isolated incident and do not believe there to be any further risk to the public. “However, as always, we will have officers on patrol in and around the area to deter criminal activity and help keep people safe.”
We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and saw or heard anything suspicious or unusual.
