Braintree: Quick arrest following burglary

Quick acting officers responding to a burglary in Witham have made an arrest within 20 minutes of it taking place.

We were called to reports of a burglary at an address in River View at around 5.35pm yesterday (Tuesday 29 August).

The Essex Police Dog Unit attended and quickly made an arrest at around 5.50pm.

A 18 year-old man from Witham is currently in custody being questioned on suspicion of burglary and possession of a Class A drug.
