Colchester: Woman dies following car park collision

A woman who was seriously injured following a collision in a supermarket carpark in Colchester has now, sadly, died.

We were called to reports of a collision involving a silver Kia Venga and a pedestrian at Waitrose in St Andrews Gardens at around 2.50pm on Saturday 19 August.

The woman, who was in her 80s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Sadly, she has now died.

Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now investigating and are appealing for anyone who saw or has footage of what happened to come forward.

The driver of the car, a man in his 80s, is assisting with our investigation.
