Colchester: Woman seriously injured following collision

Officers are continuing to carry out inquiries into a collision in Colchester which has left a woman with serious injuries.

We were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in the car park of Waitrose in St Andrews Gardens at around 2.50pm yesterday (Saturday 19 August).

The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, has sustained several fractures.

Her injuries have been described as life-changing.

Officers have located the vehicle involved, a silver Kia Venga, and a man in his 80s is assisting with the investigation.
