Leigh-on-Sea: Appeal following assault

We are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Leigh-on-Sea.

It was reported a man in his 40s was assaulted on London Road at the junction with Madeira Avenue, outside the Morrisons, at around 1.55pm on Saturday 26 August.

The victim had been knocked unconscious.

He has received serious injuries though they are not described as life-threatening or life-changing.

There were a number of people in the area at the time, and vehicles travelling past, so we need anyone who saw anything to come forward.
