Rayleigh: Man seriously injured following collision

We are investigating a collision in Rayleigh where a cyclist sustained serious injuries.

A bicycle and a car – a white Vauxhall Combo van – were in collision in Hambro Avenue shortly before 10.15am on Tuesday 15 August.

The cyclist, a man in his 70s, sustained a broken collar bone and was knocked unconscious.

We are appealing for anyone who saw anything or has any footage to come forward.
