Colchester: Appeal to find victim of assault

Officers investigating an assault in Colchester are appealing for the victim to come forward.

We were alerted to an assault in the High Street at around 3.30am today (Sunday 5 February) with CCTV showing a man unconscious on the floor.

Officers attended and arrested wo men from Colchester – aged 18 and 20 – on suspicion of assault.

They are currently in custody.

Officers engaged with the victim but they declined to give their details or offers of support and left the area.

We’re concerned for his wellbeing and need to find him to ensure he’s ok.
