We are now able to confirm the death of a woman after a collision on the M11 on Monday 30 January.
We were called to the incident, on the southbound carriageway between junctions 7 and 6, shortly after 3.50pm.
The incident involved a white Toyota and a lorry.
Officers arrived alongside emergency services colleagues to deal with the incident.
Very sadly, we can now confirm a 51-year-old woman, who was the driver of the Toyota, has died. Her family are being supported by our officers.
Two other people were taken to hospital having sustained serious injuries.
We have taken a number of accounts from witnesses and we’re continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam or mobile phone footage of it to get in contact.
