Officers from our Operational Support Group (OSG) have made 15 arrests over the weekend as they continue their work to keep you safe and put suspects in custody.
Between Friday and Sunday they arrested people in connection with investigations into domestic and sexual offences, drugs supply, and burglary.
They also supported teams from across Essex Police by carrying out high visibility patrols, making arrest attempts, and responding to incidents.
Proactive stops on our roads led to two cars being seized for not having any insurance, while drugs and money were found during another stop.
They also carried out dozens of stop-and-searches or stop-and-accounts.
Chief Inspector Richard Baxter, who leads the OSG, said:
“This was a busy and productive weekend for my team.
“They have been out across the county supporting various different teams from around the force in order to keep the public safe and tackle crime.
“The team is committed to helping you, keeping you safe, and tackling crime and they’ll be out doing it again this week.”
