A man has been arrested as part of our response to an incident in Southend.
We were called to Leigh Road, Southend, close to the junction with Chalkwell Park Drive, at about 10.30pm on Friday 21 July.
We arrived and found a man aged in his 20s had sustained stab wounds to his back and side during an altercation outside the Broker pub.
Thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
A 20-year-old man was arrested close by. He was questioned on suspicion of GBH and has been released on conditional bail.
As our enquiries have continued, we now believe there were a number of people in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident.
