Rivenhall: Teen arrested following serious collision

We are appealing for information about a collision in Rivenhall last week.

A white Vauxhall Corsa and a bus were in collision in Oak Road shortly before 9am on Thursday (6 July).

A passenger in the Corsa was seriously injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Corsa – a 19 year-old man from Tiptree – was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving.

He has since been released under investigation.

Officers want to speak to people in the vehicles directly behind the Corsa at the time of the incident.

In particular we want to speak to the driver of a silver or grey van who we believe may have information important to our investigation.
