Officers from our Operational Support Group (OSG) made another four arrests yesterday as they continued their work to keep the county safe.
Supporting our team which investigates child sexual exploitation, they arrested two people during a warrant on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
They also carried out planned arrest attempts, making arrests connected to a recall to prison and a breach of a suspended sentence.
In addition to this, the OSG responded to a number of incidents, searched for a reported stolen vehicle, and responded to disruption on some of our roads.
Superintendent Phil Stinger said:
“Yesterday’s activity again highlights the value of the OSG, supporting teams from across Essex Police and keeping the public safe.
“The team are out each and every day making a difference across the county helping to bring suspects into custody, providing reassurance in our communities, and keeping you safe on the roads.
“It’s important work and they’ll be out across Essex doing it all over again.”
At Essex Police, we value difference, and know that we’re strongest when we all work together.
