Then make this June the time that you change your life and help many others.
We want you to be part of our future. Apply to join Essex Police today and you could be part of the team by September.
Essex Police currently has a record number of officers; we are getting bigger, better and stronger. But we don’t want to stop there.
We are looking for people who want to start their career, change their career, or transfer to us from another force to join our growing team.
Whether you want to be a detective, work in roads policing, our marine unit or in our local policing teams there is something for everyone.
Det Chief Supt Lucy Morris is the Deputy Head of Serious Crime. She said:
“There is so much variety in the job and opportunities to develop your skills in different areas across the force, to try new things and take on new challenges. Every day is different, this is a job where you will never be bored.
“Being a detective also allows you to work across various areas of policing, including volume crime, serious and organised crime and homicide; all of which are so rewarding in terms of the service we are able to provide to victims and their families while locking up some of the county’s most dangerous offenders.
“There is so much opportunity at Essex Police.”
Chief Insp Leigh Norris works in our HR directorate. He said:
“We help people, prevent and reduce crime and make a real difference in communities. Whatever team you work on, the roles are varied, rewarding and challenging and it can take you in many different directions depending on the career path you choose.
"If it’s something you have considered, don’t hesitate to apply.”
Apply by June 28 and you could start your training us in September. You have seven days to change your life and help many others.
At Essex Police, we value difference, and know that we’re strongest when we all work together.
If you share our values and want to protect and serve our communities, why not join us?
If you think you could protect and serve the people of Essex, either as a police officer, member of staff or volunteer, why not see if you fit the bill?
