We are investigating an assault in Loughton where a man sustained a stab wound.
It was reported a man in his 30s had been sitting in his car at High Beech at around 9pm when it was approached by three men.
The men, who were all wearing balaclavas, assaulted the man, leaving him with a stab wound to the stomach.
He has been taken to hospital for treatment but his injury is not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
