Our Community Policing Team in Uttlesford remain committed to preventing and investigating incidents of criminal damage and arson, with reports decreasing in the district.
Across the last year, there have been 91 fewer reports of criminal damage and 21 fewer reports of arson across Uttlesford.
Chief Inspector Martin Richards, District Commander for Braintree and Uttlesford said “We understand that criminal damage, whether it be to a property, vehicle or public space can have a huge impact on victims.
“We are continuing to work with our partners, including our local councils and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service to prevent these crimes from happening and thoroughly investigate them when they do.
“I would like to thank our community, who submit reports and assist us with identifying any concerns across Braintree and Uttlesford.
“I encourage the public to continue reporting all instances of criminal damage to us by contacting us on 101 or online. In the instance of a fire, always call 999.”
