Officers from our Operational Support Group have arrested a man on suspicion of drug supply offences in Colchester this morning.
The vehicle was stopped during checks on Station Road in Colchester earlier this morning (22 October). After searches of the car, officers located a large amount of white powder and suspected class B drugs.
These have been seized and will be sent off for analysis.
A 27-year-old man from Watford was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
Further checks indicated that the driver didn’t have valid insurance or a valid driving license. He was further arrested on suspicion of driving without a valid license and driving without insurance.
The man remains in custody and the vehicle has been seized.
Enquiries remain ongoing.
