Officers from our Operational Support Group (OSG) made eight arrests yesterday as they continue their work to keep you safe from harm.
They made arrests in connection with investigations into serious sexual offences, domestic violence, and drink and drug driving.
The team supported others from around the county in carry out arrest attempts, responding to incidents, and carrying out proactive patrols and stops on our roads.
They also deployed specialist drone equipment to support an ongoing searches for a missing person.
Detective Superintendent Gary Biddle said:
“This was a really productive day for the OSG.
“Their work is really important to help get suspects into custody and keep you safe in our communities and on our roads.
“They’re out doing this work everyday and they’ll be out again today”.
