Officers have recovered two stolen scooters while carrying out proactive work in Saffron Walden.
The scooters were found in Little Walden Road earlier today following information received by members of the public.
We believe one was stolen from Saffron Walden while identification checks are currently being carried out on the other.
Elsewhere, PCSOs were joined by Roads Enforcement areas to carry out speed checks in the Hatfield Heath and Takeley areas which seven tickets issued across the two sites in total.
Acting Inspector Kevin Mayle said:
“This has been a really positive day of action across the Uttlesford district.
“You tell us how important the issue of speeding is in our communities and we are responding, taking action against those who put your safety at risk.
“And we know the impact having your vehicle stolen can have so, acting on information from the public, we’ve responded to recover two mopeds.
“We’re now working to return them to their rightful owners.”
