Tributes have been paid to a ‘hardworking and extremely popular’ young man after a fatal collision in Pitsea.
We were called by paramedics to reports of a collision in High Road at about 10.40pm on bank holiday Monday, 28 August, where a motorcyclist was involved in a single-vehicle collision.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he died at the scene.
We can now name the man as 19-year-old Marley Villena Sutton, who lived in Basildon.
Marley’s mother, Kelly Sutton, said:
“Marley was a polite, hardworking and an extremely popular young man, who has been taken too soon.
“Our hearts are broken - and we will miss our handsome boy every day.”
Officers investigating the collision do not believe any other vehicles were involved, and continue to appeal for information and witnesses to assist their investigation.
