A man has been charged with multiple offences following a proactive stop by our officers in Benfleet yesterday.
A vehicle failed to stop for officers close in Florence Gardens, Benfleet at around 4pm on Tuesday, 2 April. The vehicle was involved in a collision between a parked car and an unmarked police car.
The driver of the vehicle was pursued on foot by officers and arrested on suspicion of multiple offences.
A man has since been charged in connection with this investigation.
Edmond Vata, 18 of Humbleyard, Norwich has been charged with possession of a class A drug, possession of an offensive weapon, driving a motor vehicle dangerously, handling stolen goods, driving whilst disqualified and using a motor vehicle without third party insurance.
