Basildon: Appeal following assault

We are investigating an assault in Basildon which has left a teenager with a head injury.

A 17 year-old boy was found injured in Gloucester Park shortly after 6.55pm yesterday (Friday 30 August).

He was taken to hospital for treatment but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

It is believed he had been attacked by a group of people who left the area and we need anyone who saw what happened to come forward.
