A man has been charged as part of an investigation into a serious assault in Chelmsford in June.
Officers were called to Seymour Street, close to the entrance of Central Park at around 6:40pm on Friday, 28 June after a man was seriously assaulted.
The victim was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds and has since been discharged.
An investigation was launched by our Serious Crime Directorate and an arrest was made on Tuesday, 20 August.
Tyler Isiah Leroy Robinson, 19 of Lower Addiscombe Road, Croydon has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Croydon Magistrates Court today (21 August).
A 19-year-old man from Witham who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has since been released without further action.
A 20-year-old man from Brentwood was arrested in July on suspicion of attempted murder and remains released with bail conditions.
