We’re asking people to enjoy themselves but to act responsibly ahead of music festivals set to be held in Waltham Abbey this bank holiday weekend.
Essex Police and Hertfordshire Police have plans in place ahead of Eastern Electrics on Saturday 24 August and Boiler Room on Sunday 25 August, both set to be held at Lee Valley Showground, in Waltham Abbey.
Event organiser Elixir Events is responsible for safety and security on site during both events.
They have been working closely with us, alongside Epping Forest District Council, Essex County Fire and Rescue Service and the East of England Ambulance Service to ensure the event is safe.
The A121 will be closed from Waltham Cross roundabout to Highbridge Retail Park for eastbound traffic, from midnight until 5am and 8pm until 1am on Saturday, and from 8pm until 1am on Sunday.
For further information on diversions, travel information and further details about the events, visit the organisers’ website at easternelectrics.com/news/community-info.
They also have a community hotline in place for residents who want to report any concerns or issues, available by calling 02380 981 450.
If you experience crime or see something that concerns you while at the festivals, please approach a member of the on-site security team.
Alternatively, speak to police officers outside the site, or you can use our online Live Chat service which is available 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week.
It can be found at the bottom right of our homepage at www.essex.police.uk.
