Two people have been charged with shoplifting offences, following arrests made by Epping Forest Town Centre Team yesterday.
Officers were called to TK Maxx at Epping Forest Shopping Park in Loughton on Sunday, 18 February following a sighting of two people, who were believed to have been involved in a previous shoplifting incident on 11 February.
During the incident on 11 February, around £1000 worth of items were stolen.
Officers attended quickly and arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of theft from a shop.
Andrea Bujnakova, 44 of Queens Terrace, East Ham and John Marks, 54 of Orford Road, Walthamstow have since been charged with one count of theft from shop.
Following further enquiries, John Marks has been charged with two counts of possession of an offensive weapon within a private place.
Shoplifting remains a priority for Essex Police and so far in 2024, Essex Police have made 221 arrests for shoplifting offences*.
