A third person was arrested on suspicion of drug driving after their vehicle was stopped because it had heavily tinted windows.
And a fourth person was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified and drug driving after their vehicle was stopped because the item on their trailer was insecure.
Six vehicles were seized because the driver wasn’t insured, 18 people were stopped for not wearing a seatbelt, 10 for mobile offences, seven for illegally tinted windows, and nine others for other offences.
Superintendent Phil Stinger said:
“We’re committed to keeping you safe on our roads and taking those who put you in danger out from behind the wheel.
“What this operation highlights is that our work tackling road and driving offences can lead to us identifying other non-related offences.
“This means that as well as keeping you safe on the road, we’re able to tackle other forms of crime at the same time.”
